2008 Burger Bash
Graybeals Foods in West Point held this years Burger Bash. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Cuming County in memory of Rita Lubbert of West Point.

The 11th Annual Cattlemen's Ball was held near Albion, June 6-8. The Niewohner family served as hosts on their ranch. The weather brought many challenges but in the end everything worked well and a great time was had by all and several thousands of dollars were raised for the UNMC Eppley Cancer Center and local medical operations. Great Nebraska Ride 2008!
The 2008 Great Nebraska Tractor Ride was a hit this year! We had a great time with returning Tractor Drivers and met new Tractor Drivers. Enjoy the photos we'll be adding more throughout the next couple of weeks!

The Chairman of the Agriculture Committee of the European Commission, Neil Parrish made a quick trip to Nebraska on May 15th at the invitation of Director of Agriculture Greg Ibach. Mr. Parrish toured the ARDC near Meade and agriculture interests around Omaha.
The world's largest tractor machinery auction going on in Bridgeport, Nebraska. The auction goes on April 1 - 7, 2008.
A semi pulling a trailer loaded with ground hay turned over when the driver apparently made too short of a turn. It occurred Monday afternoon on West Prospect Road in Lexington about a half-mile west of Highway 283. Workers were offloading the hay to allow the trailer to be pulled out.

Tornadic storms struck the central Nebraska area Thursday evening leaving behind a variety of damages but, no injuries.
More than 750 vehicles were stopped in Lexington over a three hour period for a safety check. Among the areas of emphasis were driver's license, seat belts and child restraints.

A storm chase team from a Colorado research center and the Discovery Channel's Storm Chaser program were in central Nebraska May 29th, 2008 to monitor the anticipated storms. They stopped at an Elm Creek service station for fuel when we caught up with them for these pictures.
